In a rare US appearance, the international experimental noise/folk trio Powerdove will be performing songs from their upcoming release on Murailles Music, War Shapes. Of their 2014 recording Arrest, Nicholas Zettel from Decoder magazine writes: "Powerdove's vision of folk and experimentation proves to commune with their listener through arresting attacks and precious compositions...[Arrest ] leads the listener to its conclusion through methods both intuitive and confrontational." The trio features Annie Lewandowski, Thomas Bonvalet (L'ocelle Mare), and Chad Popple (Gorge Trio/Colossamite).
