DREKKA
Since 1996 Michael Anderson has evolved from experiments in early industrial tape culture to the production of fragile bedroom noise folk with expansive cinematic textures in his project Drekka. Having released dozens of cassettes, CDs, and LPs on his own Bluesanct label as well as numerous other labels internationally, Anderson has traveled, collaborated, and relocated, all the while collecting memories and building a very personal archive of corresponding sound. Drekka’s music is made through continually delving into this archive: digging up and repurposing old recordings, live performances, and forgotten snippets of out-of-touch friends’ voices. It is a project that experiments not only with sound, but also with memory as a subject and a process. Like Tarkovsky’s The Mirror or the more abstract works of Coil and Cindytalk, Drekka is both a sonic experiment and an assemblage of memories – at one moment dissonant and intimidating, and the next warm, hospitable, and ultimately soothing.

MARK TRECKA
MARK TRECKA is a Chicago-born writer, performer, and artist currently living in New York's Hudson Valley. He has recorded and performed with PILLARS AND TONGUES for over ten years and with DARK DARK DARK for nearly as long. Trecka's first full-length recording as a solo artist is forthcoming in 2018. This solo work seeks to approach the essential relationship between memory-images and the narrative, non-reductive nature of identity. The music combines ambient and textural sonic experimentation with Trecka's bold singing. Recent work includes a sound and text collaboration with DREKKA called Sleep Patterns of the Discontent (Bluesanct), which pays tribute to, among others, Kazuo Ohno and Amalia Rodrigues. As a writer, his work has recently appeared in THE NEW INQUIRY, the LOS ANGELES REVIEW OF BOOKS, and VICE.

ARIADNE
Ariadne is an A/V experimental sacred music duo comprised of Christine Papania and Benjamin Forest. With a focus on interspersing the ritualism of ancient spirituality and the secular iconography of the postmodern, Ariadne flawlessly bridge the two worlds through their intricate musical compositions, striking digital visuals, and captivating live performances.
